The Leonida Keys: island hopping, one bridge at a time

South of the mainland, the Leonida Keys trail off into open water: a chain of low islands strung together by a single road and some very long bridges.

Think fishing shacks, bait shops, turquoise shallows and the last stretch of road before the sea. On our map the Keys arc south-west from the tip of the peninsula.

What to expect

  • —A single island road with long over-water bridges
  • —Fishing spots, marinas and small island towns
  • —Shallow water ideal for boats and jet skis
  • —A lighthouse at the very end of the line

Appears to be inspired by the Florida Keys.
